Dr Shiraz Gulamali

Principal

Shiraz Gulamali qualified in 1980 from Guy’s Hospital Dental School. Now with over 28 years experience he has placed more than 7000 dental implants. He has built an international reputation for excellence, based on a willingness to constantly challenge himself and the boundaries of technology, achieving, what are often, life-changing transformations for his patients.

Lorena Mumford

Specialist in Periodontics

Lorena qualified from Valencia University in Spain in 1992 and then followed a postgraduate course of study in Periodontology at King’s College London. She became listed on the UK Specialist Register in Periodontology in 2000, whilst taking up a role as Clinical Demonstrator in the Department of Periodontology at Guy’s, King’s and St.Thomas´ Institute in London, a position she held for the following four years.

She returned to Spain to take up an academic teaching role in postgraduate level implantology, before returning to the UK in 2013.

Shahin Boghani

Specialist Registrar

GDC 155193

Shahin qualified from King’s College London in 2008. Since graduating, she has completed her vocational training, was awarded the Ruby Austin Shield and has worked in general practice and in a hospital setting being exposed to a wide range of dental specialties. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, England, and a member of the British Society of Periodontology.

Shahin is currently a Specialist Registrar at Guy’s Hospital and is completing a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology.

Vanda Szabo

Practice Manager

We believe that a smooth running practice is vital for putting patients at their ease and are fortunate that our Practice Manager Vanda, is highly experienced and very knowledgeable. Having worked closely with Shiraz for a number of years, Vanda’s first priority is always for the well-being of our patients. She not only provides a high level of care herself but also ensures this is the ethos of everyone who works within the practice.

Denise McAleer

Dental Hygienist

GDC: 3630
Denise qualified as a dental hygienist at the Royal Naval Dental School in Portsmouth in 1979 and after qualification worked as a tutor hygienist at a London teaching hospital.

Denise enjoys helping to educate and encourage patients to improve their dental health. By treating patients as individuals, she is able to work with them to prevent gum disease or help to stabilise more advanced gum problems. Denise says ‘I get a real buzz from the improvement that I can help a patient achieve. Some patients may initially be reluctant or nervous regarding treatment and I feel that I am particularly good at reassuring them and giving them confidence with their smile’.

Sima Patel

Dental Hygienist

GDC: 220828
Sima qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist in 2011 and was awarded the prestigious Old Londoner’s Award for achievements. She is an integral part of our dental team with a friendly attitude and has a great rapport with her patients. Sima specialises in periodontal treatments, smoking cessation, and promotes oral health education.

Joanna Hadyniak

Dental Implant Nurse

GDC: 129273
Joanna’s career began as a dental nurse in 2006. She joined Shiraz Gulamali’s team in 2011, and from 2013 she became the Head Nurse, with responsibilities for stock control and the supervision of other members of the team. Beside her work in practice she trains other nurses for more complex surgical procedures and phlebotomy techniques. She is currently on a dental hygienist course and aims to finish this very soon.

Keith Rowe

Dental Technician

Shiraz’s precise implant placement is completed by restorations created for our patients by dental technician Keith Rowe. For the last 30 years Keith has been a leader in aesthetic and implant dentistry, delivering accurate, perfectly matched restorations that are difficult to distinguish from a patient’s natural teeth.
